Room is great, 2nd time we have stayed this year. Staff is great too from the front desk to the restaurant staff and bellhops. The area is heavily Chinese, almost entirely Chinese food being the option for restaurants close by. Its a negative for us because my wife is Thai and wants Thai food.

A good choice on the outskirts of Bangkok

The Maitra was our final stay of a family holiday exploring Thailand and it was a great hotel. Designed in a fresh look with very friendly staff, it’s a great choice if you want to stay further towards the airport but not actually under the flight path! Breakfast was good and the pool was lovely.

Maitria Hotel Rama 9 Bangkok provided very good accommodations, but the location was very inconvenient for my work schedule and meetings which were in the city center. Note that the hotel location is quite far from the main city area and you will often run into lots of traffic. Overall the staff was incredibly nice and very accommodating. The location around the hotel did not have much food option. I was disappointed in Expedia’s recommendation as this is my main choice when booking travel items. Nevertheless, thank you Maitria Hotel Rama 9 Bangkok for a great stay!

The people and really helpful and nice they make sure my mom feel safe everytime she go outside to smoke her cigarette. They make sure that you feel comfortable in there property.

The hotel made a well-kept impression. The staff was helpful and friendly. My hotel room was always cleaned. I was very happy with everything. I would recommend this hotel.

The location is great, and the bed is comfortable and well-designed. The room also has a pleasant fragrance. The staff is friendly, but the breakfast options are limited and not very impressive. Additionally, there were some minor issues during the check-in. A customer was yelling and disruptive at the front desk about parking, and another customer tried to cut my line, but the front desk staff didn’t seem to care about the guests standing in line. It took them a while to notice the problem. Overall, the property is great, but the limited breakfast options and the occasional rude guests made it a 3.5-star experience instead of a 4-star one.

Relax and rest well

The hotel staff are working very hard to make guests feel comfortable. Breakfast is served with different types of fresh fruit daily. The location is a bit far from the center district but taxi or grab car are available.

The initial reception was wonderful. The front desk service representative(s) were great. They were helpful and friendly as well. The room was spectacular and clean. Great view from the room too. The downfall with the property is the transportation; it’s limited and the waiting time to get it was a little longer than expected. Other than the transportation, I would recommend this property to my fellow travelers.

I spent 2 months in Bangkok, and came back to this hotel 3 times. Rooms are fantastic, huge, well stocked and decorated. City view is amazing. Housekeeping does a great job, and showed up promptly when I indicated I wanted my room made up. Bed linens were pristine. Towels slightly less so, but clean and changed daily. Front desk staff were polite and helpful -- as was everyone I interacted with every time. Breakfast buffet was generous and changes daily. Gym was large, clean, and had all the equipment I wanted. Pool is awkwardly located right next to the windows of restaurant area (don't swim during breakfast hours if you are self-conscious!), but is good sized and clean. The only real negative about this hotel is that it's not really close to anything, including transit. They are happy to call a cab when needed, though, and there are convenience stores, a cafe, and a laundromat within walking distance -- and it is convenient if you are being treated at one of the nearby hospitals. I will definitely stay here again on future visits to Bangkok!

This was a nice enough hotel. The staff was great and very friendly. The location was not convenient at all. Taxis barely came down the road and the main road was hard to get a taxi due to no where to turn off and pick up passengers. The distance to my desired destination was close, but there was no sidewalk to make it walkable. There were no restaurants or food carts anywhere in sight.

A lovely, beyond-the-call experience

These days it's so difficult for a hotel to distinguish itself, and the Maitria Rama 9 did so commendably. I'm usually skeptical of glowing review aggregates on these big sites but book this one with confidence. The rate was arrestingly reasonable, the staff are terrific, the minibar is free (lovely touch, even if it's not hugely well-stocked), the shower nozzle was lavish without being overpowering, the buffet breakfast was lovely and I slept like the dead. My one minor quibble is that the climate-control interface was impossible to understand and use: Everything I did seemed to raise the temperature and lower the fan instead of the other way around. Might be an idea to either include some directions or, better yet, rip those things out of the wall and replace them with something from 1995 because that's when anything still made sense.
