City hotel
Room was clean and staff were extremely friendly and approachable.
We reserved a room for three people. First, our driver from the airport had a hard time finding the place. The one I received from Expedia is not the exact address. The driver had to call several people and consulted several maps of the area to find the hotel. The area surrounding the hotel was very ran down and dirty. One of us tried to use the bathroom as soon as we got into the room. There was a live rat in the bathroom. I had to go 4 flights of stairs to summon the receptionist who immediately came to the room with me and grabbed the rat, then tossed it out of the open screened bathroom window. The bathroom did not have a shower curtain, so the entire area gets wet each time the shower was used. We were on the verge of moving in to another hotel. But because we were up early and had issues with our flight having trouble, and very tired, we decided to just stay. There is a closet with wire clothes hanger that cannot be used because they were all bent out of shape. The a/c temperature cannot be adjusted; only one setting. The same goes for the TV, only one channel available. Suggestions: English is a universal language; please hire employees who can speak and understand some English. Provide shower curtain, and hand towels in addition to regular towels.
A nightmare. First off, the owner is creepy, makes any excuse to come to your room or ask personal questions. Second, the only people who stay here are Indian men who come to Thailand for one purpose only. The walls are paper thin, you can hear the road and the people in the rooms next to you. The bathroom is extremely dirty, using the shower will make you dirtier than when you entered, and the AC takes forever to work. Location is hell, almost got pickpocketed by some Indian men who touched me at the 7-eleven on the corner. The lobby is gross. The uniforms the workers wear are white and usually have stains on them. It’s a disaster here. The only thing around are Indian restaurants where they will legit annoy you to eat at their place the second you walk out. Nothing in this hotel room is clean. The doors don’t have proper locks so we moved the table every single night to be in front of the door because we were that fearful that someone would try to come into the room, including the owner. TV doesn’t work at all. I have nothing nice to say. Especially if you’re a woman, do not stay.
