"The staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful, nice warm welcome. This hotel is lovely, unfortunately the owners don’t appear to want to spend any money maintaining the building. The rooms are clean but cracked floor tiles in the bathroom, ceiling damaged and not repaired properly or repainted. The beds are comfortable and linen is spotless."

"Nice room and helpful staff. The windows let in a lot of noise from the street which wasn’t ideal on Halloween. A lot of loud noise in the early hours kept us awake."

"Stayed whilst visiting the Lakes. Hotel was perfect for us as a family with children age 10 to 16. The buffet breakfast was a good selection, children loved the pancake machine. We also loved the pool, you had to pay extra but I felt this was worth it, the pool was a good size and steam room, sauna and jacuzzi nice for adults to relax. The hotel had a nice atmosphere, nice reception area with lovely open fire to sit by."

"Simple but effective accommodation in a wonderful location. The room was modest but with lots of hot water in the shower and radiators with thermostatic valves, so you can choose your temperature. The bed was comfortable, the TV worked and there were basic tea / coffee facilities. I enjoyed the downstairs bar, frequented by locals. Staff were friendly and helpful so parking was free. There is no food but there are local cafes (and Greggs) within a five minute walk.Excellent value for money if you are looking for a basic stay."
