What a fantastic place to stay! Peaceful, historic, and exceptionally well managed and staffed. There are stairs, but this minor bother is offset by the overall quality of this fine establishment.

Gorgeous place to stay. Very much enjoyed the tour taking us up to the roof with its terrific views. Well placed for Vindolanda, Hadrian's Wall , Hexham and Corbridge[which is worth a visit if only for Grant's Bakery on the square[ recommended by the hotel staff] Hope to come again.

We booked Langley to celebrate our Anniversary and were not disappointed. It is a stunning Castle a most beautiful place to stay for a special occasion. The staff were really helpful and friendly, they took the time to stop and chat and nothing was to much trouble. Our room was very comfortable and spacious. Dinner and Breakfast were excellent with plenty of options, served in a stunning restaurant. I would highly recommend Langley Castle, will definitely be going back.

A fabulous experience for my husband and I treating our 11 year old great nephew to an exciting stay in a real Castle. Staff were wonderful from Reception check in, greeters and Restaurant staff to Reception check out. We experienced the added excitement of a Langley Castle tour learning more about history along with rooftop visit to Chapel and wonderful views. Excellent.

Yes, its an historic castle, but one that owns its current form to its restoration (from a ruin) in the early 20th century. We stayed in a Superior Room (1st floor) in the "Castle View" block - formerly the castle stables. Large, comfortable and very clean with a good bathroom. Perhaps a little too warm, but window and skylight open for ventilation. Although we did not choose the tasting menu, dinner was fabulous and wine by the glass excellent. Breakfast too was great (I particularly enjoyed the Craster kippers). All the staff we met during our stay were polite, helpful and friendly.

The room was cramped, room 28 , I think it must be the worst room in the hotel , you are not in the main building so have walk about 5 minutes for an evening meal and for breakfast. There is no castle or garden view , just a view of the back. Breakfast was okay but the service was very slow , you are basically paying a fortune to stay in this historic castle building so if that floats your boat then great, however I wouldn’t say the food or service is anything special , certainly not for the price you pay
