"Room was clean, but hardly any storage or hanging space. Good shower with plenty of hot water. Room very nojsy at night with passing traffic. Buffet style breakfast, but no hot food. Not enough bowls for cereal, or cups for brews. Okay for a weekend away, but any longer you'll be struggling to keep your clothes tidy."

"A very warm welcome The room was so warm and spacious , with the most comfortable bed. The pub had a really good vibe and the food was amazing Thank you for looking after me while working away from home. Will definitely return Best wishes Sue"

"Lovely stay, a little disappointed that the breakfast was a brown bag filled with a pot of porridge, croissant and orange juice. We did find somewhere local in Castleton for breakfast. Was very clean and lovely place to stay."

"We stayed at the Peak Hotel for 3 nights & unfortunately did not have a positive experience. While the property is exactly as advertised—a charming historic building with a pub downstairs—it feels more like a pub with a few guest rooms than a traditional hotel. After check-in, there was very little interaction or hospitality from staff. Our biggest issue was Room #1, which is located directly beside the pub’s outdoor patio. "Staff were excellent. Very helpful. Food good. However, our room, No.3, was shabby, to say the least. Definitely not value for the price. Mould in the shower. Peeling wallpaper. Toilet window unable to open. Dirty carpet. Burnt arm on heated towel rail when bent down to retrieve towel from floor. No warning notice. Double wall socket peeling from wall. Dirty TV remote held together by sellotape. Small TV with poor sound. Photos support my assertions."
