Place looks pretty rough from the outside, but the room was clean and felt fresh and inviting inside. View of the lake is minimal - it's pretty far away and across the highway, but still nice. The girl who checked me in was cute, friendly and helpful. There are NO amenities, lol.

Beautiful patio view of Bear Lake from room 16. Quiet location with great dining option around the corner (schnitzel sandwich!) Property is old, appeared clean, and has friendly/helpful staff. BETTER than I expected.

Staff was very polite, but the room needs to be updated. Stained carpet, towels and the bath/shower was disgusting. Couldn't sleep, the bed was horrible. Only good thing was the friendly staff.

Clean but missing a few things!

I liked the flooring, no dirty carpet! Also had a large stainless steel sink. The pillows weren’t very fluffy but got two more that were better. No hairdryer, hangers and not a single garbage can inside, but a large receptacle outside. Bed made a lot of noise when you moved. Was not good for my neck and back. A/C worked but was very loud. Neighbors were nice and obviously lived there full-time. The lobby could use a good cleaning. A nicer fridge than most hotels.

There were minor issues staff quickly resolved. Room was clean, provided extra towels / pillows upon request. Quick and painless check in. Very helpful staff. Price was very competitive for area. Would recommend/ stay again.

This is a great place to stay if you need an inexpensive room. Room was much larger than expected with even a water view. It had everything I needed except for WiFi. I was on the end which was very quiet, but unfortunately the WiFi worked only near the office. I’d stay again but would ask for a room next to the office. Easy to get to Proctor and Duluth from this location.

A room smelled like cigarette smoke and the neighbor next door was smoking, so it came in through the vents and a very musty smell in the room. When you first got in the room each time. I mentioned this to the owner.

WiFi is not available in all the rooms. If you are on one of the end units, their WiFi does not reach that far. It’s an older building, but is well-maintained. If you want to heat up water or coffee in the microwave, bring your own cup.
