"We stayed at this property for one night when the air space closed at Barbados airport due to an air traffic controller strike. Pros: beautiful clean property, stunning beach view rooms, great food and drink & friendly serving staff. Cons: check in process painful and daunting. I understand that day was chaotic but we had a paid reservation and just kept getting bumped by people that had checked out and returned to the hotel due to cancelled flights. "This property is in a good location, close to many beaches and amenities. I have been here several times, but I find the upkeep has gone down. All of our in-unit appliances were extremely old and the fridge leaked the entire time (it was replaced on the day we checked out). The power and wifi went out a few times during our 10 days. The furniture is very dated and could use replacement asap. The bathroom has a lot of signs of wear too. The cleaning staff were amazing but I miss the old hotel...

"The rooms and facilities were pretty tired and poor and need a lot of upgrading. The front desk staff was very friendly, but others in the restaurant were not. The beach is quite narrow and small. There arent enough lounge chairs and umbrellas. "

"Fab views of the ocean, perfectly situated mid way on The Gap with plenty of options in walking distance to go out. Excellent final day facilities post check out which was a massive bonus and more places should take note. A really awesome hospitality area to allow you to relax and shower prior to final departure. "The Divi Southwinds is great in so many ways for the whole family. The rooms are spacious enough for four, and the kitchen is great. The balcony is a nice quiet space to relax. The amenities and activities, including Pure Ocean had something for everyone. The 24 gym and basketball court was a bonus. The access to The Gap and groceries were great as well. The beach and beach bar for us. highlight"

"I stayed for 1 week and my room was cleaned and I got clean towels only once, and that was only because i saw the cleaning staff and requested it. There was no front desk to make inquiries or requests. Whenever I checked the office was locked. The safe had no instructions on how to reset and no staff to assist. It felt more like a hostel than a hotel. But i felt the cost was too high for a hostel. It was very disappointing and i would not stay there again"
