"The images online are very misleading. The Econo Lodge part is the outdated two story building in the back, not the one in the front. Anyone, hotel guests or not, can access the building. Your room door is the only door you can lock. The carpet was like soaked in smoke even when it claims to be a smoke-free facility. The first room we were assigned was not cleaned yet. Though the front desk staff immediately changed the room for us, the second room was only slightly better with empty trash can...

"The menu for breakfast was fresh and varied enough for a free breakfast at any motel offering one and much better than some where we have stayed. The room was clean. At the start of our stay, the air conditioning/heating unit was not working properly and when the front desk was notified, they replied immediately and changed our room with absolutely no problem. In fact the desk guy helped move our stuff! He was super helpful and most courteous and his name was Jeff, so please make sure that...

"The property is a beautiful old home from 1800's. The grounds are well kept and the bathrooms are upgraded beautifully. There are fire pits for cooler weather. It was off season so the pool and hot tubs were not available. The game room is very fun and the parlor had some snacks and drinks."

"The property was clean but required a damage deposit and I upgraded to a suite in order to ensure privacy instead I got more space and was kept up hearing every step in the unit above me and was unable to sleep until 4am. Both nights I stayed there. I would have cancelled and found another place to stay if it wasn’t just a short stay. I even tried to sleep with the TV on borderline loud to try to cover up some of the sounds coming from upstairs, but I was still unable to."

"Staff was helpful for our very late check in and got us to our room. Unfortunately, room had a really bad smell. There was an ionizer in the room that was not plugged in when I asked about it, I was told it should have been removed and given a bottle of Lysol to spray in the room. In fairness I could have switched rooms but due to how late just wanted to get some sleep. The room smelled like someone probably was smoking in it. Maybe the reason for the ionizer."
