"We upgraded our room to a deluxe and the bedroom was huge, the bed was so comfortable. The room itself was clean and there was some nice features, it could do with a full length mirror . We didn't have breakfast as we thought £15pp was expensive when you can get it for less in town. We stayed on the 2nd floor and wish we had a top floor room the noise from other residents is deafening. Doors slamming and hearing other people's bathroom water running interrupted our sleep. "The stay at the park in was ok. The curtains in the room were insufficient. With daylight at 4am, the whole room was lit up and made it hard to sleep. I was going to bring up this issue at check out, but was not even asked how my stay was. See attached photos at 4am."

"Easy to find, parking easy, good location. We went out at 2am to watch the World Cup. Reception 24hours so easy to access at all hours. Would absolutely stay again."

"The Mercure is an older and I suspect much grander hotel at one time. It has a sense of opulence about it with wide staircases, high ceilings and stained glass windows, however there are also signs of aging, i.e. worn carpets, old windows. I think it adds to the charm. The breakfast staff were very attentive and pleasant. Breakfast was typical fare, with adequate choices available. My room was well appointed and the bed comfortable. "Horrible Hotel, my single bed room was very small. It faced the busy street. Loud vehicle noise. The walls are paper thin. I could hear everything from the room next to me. There is no front desk and I didn't see any employees during my three night stay. Key code to open the hotel front door. Once inside use your Key code to open the lock box and get your room key."

"Nearly broke something slipping in the bath and falling on the bathroom floor. It does state that a mat should be used, but there was not one present. Told staff. Place is old and run down. I would give 2 star. Also, walls are paper thin, and was awoken many times during my two night stay by someone snoring - somewhere. Try to get an upper floor room, or you’ll hear people walking above you. Windows covered in Seagull sh*te. Plus was Netflix and a real Bath - but dangerously slippy if without...

"This was the most dilapidated, dirty, stinky room I’ve had ever booked. Where to start . . . The walls were stained, the ceramic tiles on the bathroom floor were loose and broken, the room stunk of strong disinfectant, there were many spiders, and the bed was lumpy like an old straw mattress.
