Top Beach Cities San Diego County Hotel Reviews
The Dana on Mission Bay
8/10 Good
"Clean and very comfortable beds, but it was the hotel's grounds, bay scenery, location and The Firefly restaurant that really makes for a great experience. Parking should be free per night considering how tight the spots were and the price paid for what seemed like a standard double queen bed room."
Comfort Inn Sea World Area
10/10 Excellent
"Staff was very helpful. Room was clean no complaints."
Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa and Marina
10/10 Excellent
"All the staff was very friendly. The only thing I could find lacking was access to room service for breakfast."
The Wayfarer San Diego
10/10 Excellent
"Staff was amazing. They were always available to answer all our questions. Everyone had a smile on their face. The property was kept clean. Absolutely an amazing stay. We have stayed there 6 times and each time was perfect. The staff is amazing. Special shout out to Stephanie and Blais. All of the housekeepers go out of their way to make sure that each stay is comfortable and kept everyone’s liking definitely worth staying here 10 out of 10."
Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton San Diego SeaWorld Near Old Town
10/10 Excellent
"Nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed in at this price point."
Bahia Resort Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Beachy dream. This hotel was in the perfect area - so close and connected. The hotel itself has a lovely dock side private beach area with plenty of chairs and chaises. It’s also a 10 min walk to the public beach and many restaurants nearby. I enjoyed the restaurants on-site with wood fired pizza and a beautiful view from the dockside restaurant in the evening. In the mornings the airstream cafe has great lattes and many breakfast options all 1-2 min from your private room. The bed was comfortable with good pillows and a great garden view (you can choose a dock side view as well if you prefer the water but I liked the privacy of the garden view on the back side). Highly recommend this stay if you’re visiting in San Diego."
Humphreys Half Moon Inn
10/10 Excellent
"San Diego is a dreamy city and Humphrey’s only adds to that. The landscaping is lush and beautiful and there are several outdoor third spaces (some with fire pits) for gathering with your friends/family outside of your room. The housekeeping is meticulous. The pool and hot tub area with the bar was a great place to end the day or spend the day. The only reason I didn’t give the amenities 5 stars was because the restaurant was a long walk from where our room was (so we never even visited it) and especially because the fitness room is so tiny that the few pieces of equipment in it feel crammed in there - not really a functional place to workout. On the other hand, the area would be nice for walks or jogs and we read that there were bikes available for guests to checkout. We never checked out the bikes, so I can’t verify that, but I anticipate we will stay at Humphrey’s again on future trips."
Wyndham Garden San Diego Near SeaWorld
10/10 Excellent
"For “ cheap price “ in San Diego. This is the cleanest one ever . I had one in national city . Don’t go To Ramada hotel in National city. They don’t even wash the sheets and it’s a bunch of prostitution in the back of the building . Just a Warning . But anyways. This is a 5 star Hotel to me ."
GreenTree Inn San Diego Mission Bay

"Second time staying there and no complaints at all."
