"My family and I had the best Easter break at Fitzpatrick's Castle Hotel. Firstly, the family rooms were an excellent size with two large double beds and plenty of space around them for a family of four (two adults, two children). The rooms were beautifully decorated with a coach and a modern bathroom with a large shower.  My family and I ate at the Mapas restaurant twice during our long weekend stay and we could not fault the food - it was absolutely perfect! We had breakfast here both mornings...

"The room was clean The hotel bin was very small, couldn’t fit much inside There was hair found in the shower drain. On the balcony there was rubbish and used sock left behind a previous person. Which caused us to not use the balcony. Unable to use the swimming pool and gym due to the opening hours "

"It was a nice hotel and staff were nice but unfortunately we didn't get a lot of sleep due to a large amount of children from a dance group running up and down the corridor outside the rooms and loud and boisterous until quite late in the evening around 1am . There was also another incident in the room accross which went on continuously throughout our last night there. Unfortunate that these incidents caused our stay to be not the best. "

"Check-in was not a breeze and this is where the front desk could do better. Asked if I could check-in earlier and they wanted 120 Euros which is almost the cost of an overnight stay. I would've been ok if it was about 50 euros but ok, fine that's the hotel policy which sucks b/c check-in is at 4PM at this property. All other hotels I stayed at while Ireland had no issues with an earlier check-in, if same room type was ready and available (all similarly appointed at 4*). When it was finally time...

"Fantastic hotel in every way! Location on Grand Canal GRAND!! Accessibility, Ease to public transportation, walkability to Downtown, safe at night, Best comfortable bed and pillows! Even feel of Sheets luxury plus! One of the finest breakfast buffets ever! And Staff!!! Service like the Gold ole Days! Even full time concierge! Everyone smiles. I’ll stay here every time to go to Dublin!! Loved my stay there!! "

"Wonderful location, away from the hustle and bustle of Dublin, but located near many amenities such as pubs and shops. We stayed in the family room which was perfect for the four of us. The only negative was the many stairs needed to be navigated to access the building, with luggage, which wasn’t easy. Otherwise, it’s a lovely place!"

"The breakfast was expensive (16 euros each) for a buffet. We did it one morning but realised that we couldn’t eat so much food for it to be value for money. The pool and fitness suite was lovely and well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful. The wifi was shockingly bad! It was fine down in the main atrium but in the bedrooms, did not work at all. "
