Le Zai is a beautifully restored Hutong along a very busy and vibrant walking street. Loved the vibes and the staff are extremely helpful and polite. However, there are few watch outs: 1. The property is in the middle of very narrow and busy street so travelling needs to be planned out especially if you have big luggages. 2. The property is tucked inside and behind a bar so there will be crowd outside and you will need to navigate through before reaching the entrance of the hotel. 3. My toilet reeks of sewage smell but luckily we have a bed at the lower floor which made it manageable. Otherwise, all else has been pleasant.

Good place to try if you want to have a taste of old Beijing . Staff are very friendly and helpful. Afternoon tea/snacks is a excellent idea. Great location, easy access to Subway. Also a nice walkable area.

We stayed at this wonderful hotel in the middle of Beijing for 12 days.The staff at the hotel are second to none. Very friendly and helpful. They will help you order take away, taxis and advise where to go. They will help you even when you're out and about and order a taxi to pick you up. Nowhere have i seen this level of care and service. Certainly not from a hotel. They felt like family rather than staff. Our room was nice and spacious for a family of 5 with fast wireless internet. They supply you with most of the toiletries you will need. You will only need to bring special ones otherwise its there. A variety of slippers as well. There are so many varieties of shop all around this hotel from literally the first step outside. Its a treasure trove of a shopping experience. The land marks like Forbidden City and Great Wall are a short taxi away and the fair are so affordable. Holiday of a lifetime.

I had an incredible stay at this charming boutique hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Their hospitality was warm, genuine, and attentive without being overbearing. The location is perfect—tucked away just enough to feel peaceful and private, yet still within walking distance to great restaurants, shops, and local attractions. Our room was beautifully designed with thoughtful touches, super comfortable bedding, and a spotless bathroom. It had that perfect blend of cozy and elegant. And the food—absolutely fantastic! Every breakfast felt like a treat, with fresh, high-quality ingredients and a great variety of options. This place really has it all: comfort, character, and top-notch service. The stay was wonderful. There was great communication with the hotel. They reserved a taxi to pick us up from the airport. When we arrive they explained everything with great detail. Great experience for Beijing ! A quaint boutique hotel located in one of the Beijing Hutongs, it offered us a unique local flavored experience. The facilities are traditional Chinese, with wooden floors and rustic themed rooms. However, rooms are fully equipped with everything you need. They also have cute little balconies from where you can drink tea while transporting yourself back in time. The staff was the best part. Very nice, always available and catering to our every need. Afternoon tea time was quite endearing. Breakfast was really good, Chinese/western buffet. Overall a very cozy little hotel that will make you feel welcome and comfortable. An experience we will never forget.

Located within walking distance from the subway. Right off really popular hutang that offers a lot of options for food. The hotel is quaint and the staff was amazing. They greated us on arrival even with the pouring rain. Explained all the amenities that were available. The free breakfast had a wide variety of food. Dont skip the dumpling soup for breakfast. The tea time drinks and snacks were amazing. I cannot stress how great the staff was. They even helped arrange transportation to the Great Wall for us.

I often stay at luxury hotels, but I’ve never seen a hotel and room quite like this one. It’s rich in traditional Beijing architectural culture. The room is clean and full of character. The staff are extremely friendly. Everyone is working diligently and professionally. There’s none of the toxic tipping culture you find in the US. The afternoon tea and breakfast are also very fresh. The price is reasonable. Highly recommended!

Un petit cocon !

Une petite pépite dans un quartier très sympa ! Le personnel est aux petits soins, ce fut un réel plaisir ! Le métro n’est qu’à 3 minutes à pieds ! L’ambiance est très sympathique ! Et le tea-time permet de rencontrer les autres voyageurs ! Super !

L'hotel è situazione nel pieno di uno Hutong, ricco di negozi e street food, pur rimanendo silenzioso e tranquillo. Soggiornarvi è stato un vero piacere. La struttura la cui architettura riprende un'antica casa cinese è fantastica, le camere hanno una terrazza pertinenziale estremamente gradevole. Il personale è stato gentile e molto disponibile. L'hotel ci ha organizzato, con un autista che è venuto a prenderci in aeroporto, un pomeriggio alla muraglia cinese, avendo poco tempo per soggiornare ci è stato molto utile. Ci hanno inoltre aiutato a prendere contatti con la guida prenotata con Expedia per visitare la città proibita il giorno seguente. Tutto era molto pulito ed organizzato. La colazione è stata ottima. Lo consiglio vivamente.

I had the most incredible stay at this hotel — absolutely stunning, truly a hidden gem. Every detail was perfect, the place itself is beautiful beyond words, and the attention to guests was simply outstanding. Cloe, Alice and the other girl in the reception were exceptional — warm, kind, and always going the extra mile to make sure everything was flawless. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Everything was a 10/10. I’ll definitely be coming back! Wow wow wow

服務很好有回家的感覺，建築古色古香，屋頂胡同景色很美，尤其有東西遺忘在房間，飯店還協助送配色到下一個住宿點，有機會回北京會再回訪的！！！

Outstanding service, free breakfast and tea break snacks (6 plates of snacks wow). They even helped us to book a taxi to the hotel when we were leaving. Place is really quaint and lovely. Would give a 10 out of 5 for service if I could.

Amazing location, lovely room, each room has it's own roof terrace, don't miss the free afternoon tea- lovely fresh fruit and fresh nuts, better than any nuts I've ever had before. Very tranquil and quiet yet so close to the hutongs. The room was really toasty, beautiful wooden ceiling. The staff were so helpful, when I needed medication they ordered some to be delivered for me,
