"We stayed at Breathless Riviera Cancun for a week in July to celebrate my milestone birthday. We had a wonderful experience overall.
We were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade to Secrets Riviera, which was a quieter, more luxurious atmosphere while still giving us access to Breathless’ restaurants, entertainment, parties, and amenities, the best of both worlds.
Our room was excellent, housekeeping was outstanding, and the mini fridge was restocked daily. The spacious waterfall shower and relaxing ocean views from the balcony were highlights. The fitness center was also well-maintained and I made sure to enjoy it almost everyday.
Dining was one of the best parts of the trip. We tried nearly every restaurant (too many to name), but a French one called Coquette was our favorite. The food, service, and atmosphere were exceptional.
The Sunset Sip & Paint event and Showstopper Theater performances were fun and worth the while. The main area for improvement is the nightlife. After Dark was small with limited music variety, and the Neon Party felt less interactive than expected. More themed activities, interactive entertainment, and varied DJs would make the nightlife even better.
Overall, I had a memorable birthday vacation with beautiful accommodations, excellent dining, exceptional staff, and gorgeous ocean views. The complimentary Secrets upgrade made it even more special. We would definitely recommend the resort and consider returning!"
