"the staff here is great. Jamie was particularly our favourite guy. one thing ill say is there is no usable beach and the pools HURT. i cut myself multiple times on the gravel, for some reason its not sanded down, just prickly and pokey. the seats at the swim up bar cut up your swimsuits & i got cut really bad on the steps walking in. also for the resort being built in 2023, the pool tiles should not be coming off. they’re basically almost all off and just sitting at the bottom of the pool. food was good, and drinks were spectacular. overall i would be back"

"The Staff is what makes this place excellent. Fernando, a waiter was a stand out. He turned good dinners into great ones. The pool service was excellent as was the bartender. The resort grounds are very well maintained and beautiful. Rooms are definitely dated and can use updating. Our door had gaps around it and you could see daylight. Not the end of the world but if bugs were present it would be an issue. We did not go to the beach due to sargassum, the beach did look beautiful with plenty of chairs. Food was good across the board. Better than most all inclusive resorts. The only real negative was the cleanliness of the pools. First thing in the morning we would see napkins and leaves in the bottom of the pools the next day they were still there. We stayed in a club room. I do think it’s worth the upgrade because of the room view and the club pool with the bar, I wouldn’t upgrade just because of the alcohol selection and the club restaurant. Magna the club restaurant was good in my opinion but not great! I enjoyed the other restaurants just as much. All in all it is a beautiful resort, the staff are amazing! I would recommend it. I don’t know if I’d go back to the same hotel but would definitely try the Excellence brand again."

"Everything was excellent! Yes, there was a lot of seaweed, however, it’s Mother Nature and you can’t blame the hotel for that. The food was great, the staff was great and we had an amazing time."

"I think the most unique thing about this property is the staff. Everyone we interacted with was so nice and helpful.it was by far the most family friendly resort we’ve been to, wish we’d discovered it earlier! There are sooooo many pools, the kids pool area was not gross and didn’t make you feel like you were giving up part of your vacation stuck in the B tier pools. Just as good and pleasant as the adult side. We did the diamond club, I think it was worth it. Our butler, Gina, was FANTASTIC. The food was better than places we’ve been that had a gourmet food experience, which was wild. Going to the buffet is usually a complete last resort for us, but here-it’s great. This is picky-but I was not impressed by the spa. Lots of price discount funny business-talking to other people-they paid a lot less for the same service AND there were a few upsale attempts during the actual service which I didn’t want to deal with since I was trying to enjoy what I’d already paid for. And relax. And this is everywhere in riviera maya right now, but there’s a lot of stinky seaweed with bugs that will bite you. We just avoided the beach. Those are the only two things I can think of that were not perfect, so that’s pretty good!"
