"Hidden gem near Guatemala border beautiful comfortable rooms great chef onsite"

"The resort has the potential to be a 5 star resort. It is lacking the polish. Overall it is a beautiful resort, loved the organic garden, and the pool is very nice. Maintainance equipment was left out through out the despite work being done for the day. The main chef was amazing but his back up needs a lot more training and experience. Noticable difference in preparation of meals. Water pressure consistently low and hard to get hot water."

"Stayed two nights. Staff was incredible. Derrick is the best tour guide. Lodge even had transportation from airport and to water ferry. 10/10!"

"The property was gorgeous and very clean. The outdoor pool with a jungle view was breathtaking. Plenty of space and everything was very modern. Their chef makes a delicious breakfast and everything is fresh. The assistant manager Tiffani was truly amazing she helped with everything from beginning to end. She made sure our stay for a 5 star experience. I do a lot of traveling and this was definitely in my top 5 favorite stays. Thank you to Tiffani for answering all our questions and help. I...

"The view from the dining and viewing pergola is one of the best in San Ignacio."

"Clean room."

"L’hotel è molto buono, le stanze pulite, la piscina anche, un po’ fuori dal centro che si raggiunge con una passeggiata di 20/25 minuti. Ma nel complesso un buon appoggio"

"We had an amazing stay at the Rainforest Retreat. Theodocios, our assistant at the Rainforest Retreat was an excellent guide and his wife, Francelia cooked delicious breakfast and dinner that was included with our stay. She also does laundry. We stayed one night there in the Eco-Pods and the 2nd night at the Chaa Creek Lodge. Docios shuttled us back and forth and provided excellent guidance."

"The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. We had a fantastic stay!"

"I absolutely LOVED my stay at Falling Leaves Lodge. My partner and I were blown away with the service, attentive staff, beautiful grounds, and clean room. Paula at the front desk went above and beyond for us, whether it was confirming our excursions, arranging taxis, or ordering us early breakfast, she handled it all. The groundskeepers were so kind, setting up lounge chairs and allowing us to connect to the Bluetooth speaker by the pool. The on-site restaurant had a large menu and every dish we...

"Like many eco lodges in the area, rooms are basically screened-in porchs with adjustable shutters - perfect for the setting, but very exposed. So, I get up at 2:30am for a routine bathroom visit, and let me add the (surprisingly relevant) detail that it was the quick and quiet #1 variety. Just as I was back in bed turning off the light, someone in the dark just outside my window asked 'Are you alright?'. Startled, at first I assumed this was a conversation between 2 people coincidentally on...

"I would definitely go again. Friendly staff and I loved that the pool was accessible at all hours.Even though you're close to town, you feel disconnected from all hustle and bustle"

"Our stay was amazing!! The villa was very clean and very modern. We had everything we needed towels, tolieteries, cleaning supplies. The AC kept our rooms very cool. The pool was amazing my kids loved it. Check in/check out was very easy."

"Amazing property. It was so beautiful with the courtyard with flowers and the private pool/bath and geat views. They upgraded us with no extra charge. Wish we could have stayed here longer. The price was great for a three story home away from home."

"It's peaceful, the room was clean and bed was very comfortable."

"I would describe this as more of a glamping experience. The room is a large, open space with multiple beds and a kitchen, plus a separate bathroom. Unfortunately, there is no closet, shelving, or luggage rack, so you have to live out of your suitcase on the floor. The screened-in porch with hammocks was wonderful. However, the staff was not very helpful when we asked about walking trails or how to get to Monkey Falls. We were given vague directions and did not feel particularly welcome. The...
