"Check-in was a shambles. The room I’d booked was not available, therefore I was downgraded to a sub-quality room. I had booked for 6 nights, the hotel admitted liability stating they’d stuffed up. Rooms do not have air conditioning, they have fans. If you want a portable air conditioner it costs 25 franks per day (this was waived due to their stuff up). I ended up in the crappy room 3 nights and the correct room 3 nights. Errors like this should not happen. Management was very nice."
"Exceptional across the board with one small caveat.
Excellent location, spotlessly clean, reasonably priced, safe neighborhood, and very helpful staff. My room was small but exactly what I needed: a comfortable bed, spotless bathroom, plenty of hot water, and adequate air conditioning. The breakfast buffet was outstanding and included in the price. I also loved the rooftop seating area for sunsets and people-watching.

"I stayed in the single room which is the very top floor of the hotel. The room was clean and had everything I needed but because of the heat my stay was very unpleasant, unfortunately. There are only sky lights in the room, which dont open apart from a small vent. The heat was unbearable and I barely slept. There were two fans provided to me but because of how hot it was, they didn’t accomplish much. Maybe the other rooms with working windows cooled down more. My suggestion would be not to book...

"Prima groot hotel met buiten centrum van Bern. Kamer ruim maar kaal,goed schoon en prima badkamer. Bed en airco waren prima in deze warme periode. Ontbijt is meer dan prima om de dag mee te starten. Groot hotel maar toch een hele rustige sfeer. Met bus nr 10 ben je zo in centrum/HBF van Bern. Prima hotel!"
"We had a fantastic stay for four nights with our two kids! The hotel has a fantastic location- very close to the main square, shops, restaurants, and the river (but without being too chaotic or noisy). The staff was very nice and helpful. The communal drink area is very nice to be able to access all day. I also appreciated having laundry and ironing facilities. The only tiny downside was that the dryer didn't really work- things were still wet after 2+ hours. All in all, we had a great time and...
