"A welcoming reception on arrival. Everything explained well. Room was clean and tidy...lots of space, and ample enough room for storage! "A hidden gem for any medieval castle hotel fan. We’ve stayed at many castle hotels and Langley Castle stuck out for its authenticity and unique details, especially the 14th century window niches. Make sure to reserve a suite with a window niche like Greenwich Room. Dinner is a nice occasion with drinks starting in the drawing room before descending to the dining room for the meal. Free castle history tour in the morning."

"We booked this at the last minute as we were travelling up to the Scottish borders and wanted to break the journey due to the extreme heat. We arrived very late (about 11pm) but we had called the hotel in advance and one of the staff agreed to wait for us. When we did arrive we were greeted with a very warm welcome. Our one regret is that we didn't have time to make use of the observatory (yes you read that right!) All staff very friendly and helpful and loved the breakfast"

"A great one night stay on my way up to Scotland. Fabulous hospitality and made to feel very welcome. Had a peaceful night's sleep. Janice cooks a mean omelette for breakfast and enjoyed my packed lunch. Lovely estuary walking and lots of nature reserves in the area. Would stay again if in the area."
