"Fabulous room, very modern with TV, tea, coffee and biscuits, iron and ironing board, hairdryer - in fact everything you could possibly need. Bathroom was a 'wet room' with a super shower. Breakfast was enormous with plenty of tea or coffee. All the staff were extremely helpful and couldn't do enough to assist. Well worth staying here if visiting the area."

Even with more than one month in advance, the hotel refused to cancel and refund the booking; We were a big group, booked 3 different rooms; we paid different £ for the rooms, but got exactly the same room size/ layout and facilities. We could feel a smell of old and musty...

"Superb pub and rooms steeped in local history - Robert Plant started his career here playing blues guitar aged 15 in the upstairs blues club (sadly not there anymore but the history is palpable). The pub is a treasure trove of history, and so well preserved, from the original staircases and ceramic tiling on the walls, to the original bar. My room was just sheer excellence. Comfy bed, every amenity laid on, crispy linen and a boiling hot shower. Sadly the pub no longer serves food other than...
