"Excellent stay"

"We stayed here for our 26th Wedding Anniversary and had the best experience from beginning to end. In advance of our stay I requested some flowers to be ordered, and was given two options that the hotel then ordered and had waiting in my room, together with some lovely flower petals across the bed to celebrate our occasion. The hotel also upgraded our room for free which was a lovely touch. We had dinner at the restaurant which was presented with a high standard and delicious, and also...

"Room was dirty, scuffed paintwork, stained carpet, skirting boards thick with grime and dust, cobwebs and dead bugs (in the cobwebs) on the ceiling. Not to mention the previous guests dirty towels and sheets were left in a heap in the middle of the floor. At £200 per night excluding breakfast I expect much much better. Very disappointing."

"Really helpful staff, and room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. After breakfast we were offered the bill when we explained our reservation included breakfast. It would seem this is an ongoing issue as staff explained they don’t include it but are struggling with Expedia to remove. The owner though didn’t charge us, and although a little awkward to have had the conversation both staff and owner were very lovely in getting it resolved. I would return, but the position on the...
