Both were very good. The pool was very nice and we enjoyed cooking off after a hot day touristing. I missed having a safe and fridge in the room. About 10-15 minutes from Tam Coc, Hoa Lu old town, Trang An boat ride and Mua caves. My husband and I both got massages at their spa during our stay, and they were one of the best we had in all of Vietnam. "Hoang Minh Mountainside Villa was a pretty unique experience overall. Being out in the jungle setting was definitely cool and gave the stay a different vibe compared to being right in town. That said, the location is quite far from Ninh Binh and Tam Coc, so getting to restaurants, shops, or anything else takes a bit of effort. The property does provide bikes, but unfortunately all of the ones we saw had flat tires and didn’t feel reliable enough for a longer ride into town. On the plus side,...

"Our home away from home! Lu & Bang were so incredibly kind and helpful, they quickly felt like family and made sure we were well accommodated. The interconnecting rooms were large and had a kettle and fridge which made things easier when trying to feed our fussy children. As these are rooms only, there was no ammenities to cook or be self sufficient per se, but we made it work just fine using disposable cutlery and eating out most of the time.
