Tolle Lodge!

Wunderbar gelegene Lodge, tolle Aussicht, große Bungalows. Sehr zu empfehlen ist der Hanging Bridge Trail, der gleich neben der Lodge weggeht! Liebevoll serviertes Frühstück! Man kann auf Bestellung Abendessen, einfach, aber sehr gut.(Casado) Die Beleuchtung im Standard Bungalow ist nicht gerade für Romantiker, aber das ist eigentlich das Einzige, was man bekritteln kann!

We had the deluxe bungalow, it was very clean, spacious and private. Very safe place that is just outside the small town of Bijagua. Can get pretty windy at night which is normal in the mountains, I am a sensitive sleeper so earplugs and eye covers recommended to help you get a good nights rest. Reasonable price for a pretty cute place with friendly prompt service and nice breakfast. About 20-30min drive from Tenorio National Park to see Rio Celeste.

So much wildlife!

The customer service was great(thank you Kevin!) although it was the hiking trails that brought me here. Birds and monkeys, even a puma on the property in the morning (we only saw the tracks.) The breakfast was also fabulous, and the rooms so comfortable!!!!

Bountiful wildlife and wonderful customer service.

We saw puma tracks and howler monkeys calling. Loved the hikes and bridges, Kevin was so helpful!

The staff was wonderful. The lodging was okay. The beds were hard but the water was hot for showers. The room had no climate control and their were airgaps that made the nights cold.

Very nice place to stay when visiting rio Celeste and surroundings. Hotel is well located and managed with passion and commitment to customer service by a warm and welcoming family. Highly recommend.

Toller Ort, um die Natur in Ruhe zu erkunden

Hier hat man alles: Die Natur direkt vor dem Hotelzimmer, gepaart mit Komfort und sehr netten Menschen, die einen umsorgen und den Aufenthalt zum Genuss machen. Abgerundet wird das Ganze mit vielen Ausflugsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen, wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Relaxing place close to the nature

Excellent option if you want to be in contact with the nature, the hotel staff is friendly and they are pending to your needs I do recommend that you take a walk on the bridges and the jungle, they are a few steps from the rooms Also it is recommended that you bring a 4WD vehicle to arrive to their facilities since you have to drive around 3 km of an unpaved road, you can do it with a normal car, but it will be slower Volcan Tenorio is close around 20 min from there!

Rustic lodge beautiful view

Sweet people no English. Water pressure in shower ver low. No screens on windows no ceiling fan or AC. Hot night too many bugs to open windows for air. Hard beds.

Excelentes vistas

La cabaña en donde nos hospedamos tenía una bonita ubicación rodeada de bosque y vegetación, a pesar de que es un lugar relativamente fresco no contamos con agua caliente, el servicio de wifi solamente lo puedes utilizar en áreas comunes y el desayuno es bastante austero, lo que vale la pena es la ubicación de los cabañas, el acceso al hotel es complicado si traes un carro compacto.

Amazing!

Heliconias is a wonderful place to stay. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The food is decently priced and delicious. The views are stunning and the trails are great. Its a beautiful oasis and I hope to return one daym

Okay lodge to share with family

I am just reviewing the lodge, not the activities around it. Pros: The room was a good size and could accommodate 5 people (2 bunk beds) 1 king size and 1 single bed. Bathroom was okay. You will see some bugs here and there but it is a lodge in the middle of the nature so it didn't bother me. Cons: I paid $97 for the cabin and they gave me the standard room $84. Your suitcase will not roll on the floor as it is not paved. You will have to carry your bags all the way to your room. They gave me the room all the way in the back and I had to carry my bags alone, in the dark. Be careful when looking for the hotel on Google map, I ended up 40 mins north from the lodge and had to drive all the way back. No wifi in the room, I went to the lobby to ask for wifi and the owner gave me the password but it never worked. We tried many times and he was just clueless about why it didn't work and he didn't try to fix the issue. Food was just okay, nothing great.
