I was given a room for the handicapped, although I am not handicapped. The toilet was broken and ran most of the night. I finally lifted the top of the commode and manually stopped the running of water. However, it continued the next day. I reported the situation to the front desk that morning. They reported it to maintenance, although nothing was done. I asked for a reduction in my room rate. After calling back for 3 consecutive days, I got the same response..nothing can be done, even from the general manager, Patel. He said I should have told them the day of. However, it was after 11:00 p.m. when I discovered the problem. Didn't want to pack up and go to another room at that point. The most they were willing to do was give me a snack from the vending area and an early or late checkout on a future stay. Unacceptable!
