"The location was wonderful, in a lovely village with green spaces and a beautiful church. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Train station was 5mins walk away and the buses stop across the road from the hotel. Very clean room, breakfast had everything you would want and lovely gardens out the back. The staff were very friendly and helpful and a late night drink in the bar was perfect before a good slin the comfy bed. Would definitely recommend The Clarendon."

"Basic, but good basic. We were 3 people in our room and it was very, very small. You could not have opened a suitcase in there. Thankfully we all had backpacks, not cases. Nice and quiet and clean, with everything we needed, for a one night stay it was great, but I wouldn't stay for longer due to the small room (perhaps if it was just 2 people it wouldn't be so bad, but using the pull-out bed we could barely move around). However it didn’t work so we had to go all the way back to reception and were then told that there was a glitch and none of the cards were working! "War ein sehr guter Aufenthalt! Wir waren begeistert, wie viel Platz man doch hatte in dem Raum, obwohl es etwas kleiner aussah. Die Zimmer hatten keine Fenster, was tatsächlich uns geholfen hat abzuschalten vom ganzen Trubel in der Stadt. Ich vllt nicht für jeden, aber für uns auf jeden Fall! "Cheap private room for a Saturday night, close to Deptford and Greenwich, with the DLR just around the corner so a handy spot. In the middle of an estate which was a bit of a shock at first but it was fairly tame for the most part. Didn’t attempt a shower as it smelt really bad. Toilets were kinda gross and smelt too. "The Locke hotels are always very beautifully designed and the rooms are very nice. The rooms are large, fully equipped kitchen and nice layout. We had some trouble with the A/C, but was immediately taken care of by the staff, who are very friendly. The only minimal drawback is that we stayed for 6 nights and had programmed housekeeping for the third night, but they never came. "It’s a nice hotel, I liked the decor and room was clean. I didn’t hear other guests apart from some occasional hall door slamming (but nothing too bad). However there was strange vibrating noise in my room that would go on and off every day, super annoying. Not sure what it was perhaps some ventilation installed on the roof or in the walls because in my room nothing made noise."
