"Booked in January 26, turned up in April 26 to be told the old owner has ran away with the cash and due to that you’ll have to pay again! Called hotels.com who did sort it in the end but what a shambolic service. Holes in the roof and in desperate need of TLC. Would not stay again, go elsewhere."

"From checking in to checking out, everything was perfect. The staff,food, beds, entertainment nightly, location was excellent. Perfect appreciated manners and respect from young staff. All staff are a credit to the Doric. With complimentary tram passes it is effortless to see the sights of Blackpool. I can honestly say there wasn’t anything to complain about. Thank you everyone at The Doric xxx"

"All food and drinks were very good"

"From the moment you see it you know its a dump. As soon as you open the door to reception you smell the musty damp smell. Its huge, needs knocking down & start again. Or better still turn it into a car park. Mould everywhere just needs a complete renovation. To think we paid money to stay there is scandalous. "

"The gimic was the pitch side view although the kids found it frustrating that they coukdnt open the sliding doors to get closer. I explained the reasons why to them. Our frustations re this hotel was that there wasnt any shower gel and there were only 2 bath towels between our family of 4. The bed topper on the twin beds to make it a double was also really thin so it may aswell been 2 twin beds. We checked in around1030pm and then left at 0930am so couldn't comment on other areas of the hotel. I guess a good location and gimmick but other hotels will be more comfortable for families. "

"Very good breakfast"

"The Blue waters Hotel was situated 10 mins walk from north pier and had a tram stop opposite the hotel. Breakfast was good variety of cereal and fruit Full hot breakfast and toast and tea coffee hot chocolate. Family room we were in was comfortable for the 3 of us. Pool was nice touch and was decent size "
