"Checking in was great fast service room was nice big and comfy had water and teacakes which was a nice touch. Location is great for town centre just around the corner. There is parking at front but it is 1st come. The new owner was really helpful and is looking to make this hotel great. Which we think he will do. Definitely will stay again "

"Breakfast good, gluten free options good Evening meal lovely and again g/f options very good. Room lovely and clean . Staff were lovely and knowledgeable with g/f meals . We have stayed before and we will be back again. Thank you for a lovely stay"

"Awful beyond words with rude unprofessional staff Stayed one night on the coniston suite. Room wasn’t even ready or cleaned. Told reception only to get a unmeaningful apology. Woke up to banging from the cleaner telling me it’s a 10am Checkout on a bank holiday rude with a stinking attitude. No tea bags in the suite only to be told they are kept in reception !!’n you pay for hospitality and expect a warm welcome in a 4 star hotel !! No wonder Britannia hotels is constantly reviewed badly and this hotel typifies how poorly staff are trained. I would rather have a nights stay at bates motel ! "

"Room clean staff helpful good location"

"I used this as an overnight stop after a theatre trip. Glamming up with a female friend, getting ready to go out, then enjoying a night on the town, before returning for a decent night sleep. The greeting was pleasant & professional, the room was clean, the beds were comfortable. The water in the shower was hot & plentiful. Our room view was literally a brick wall, but that was OK for us. But the downside was there was a kettle & 2 cups but no tea/ coffee/ milk/ sugar & no indication there should've been which i was very disappointed about!!! There were signs all over saying "no food or drink" but i went out & bought a tub of instant hot chocolate. There was a notice explaining the bar only opened if there were enough call for it, but reception would provide while you sat in 1 of the 2 lovely seating areas overlooking the seafront. The parking is bad. You pay £10 in cash, but if you pull out & return someone else may be in your spot & no refund given!! "

"Breakfast was mostly fresh, much preferred the service pre Covid ie teapots brought to tables not a big fan of coffee and tea machines however realise why this has been done . On this occasion parking didn’t apply to us. "
