"Our accommodation was in a block beside the castle. The window was painted shut, beds were poor, a long walk to toilets and showers and no facilities in the room. The restaurant was closed. I'm ex military and have seen better army barracks."

"Nice looking hotel in a lovely location. It is conveniently located in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park making it ideal to get out and about either walking, hiking, and cycling in the surrounding area. Waterfall country is about a 30 minute drive away. Very friendly and polite staff. Food was on the slightly pricey side but it was excellent quality. "Great location for the waterfalls, the rooms were spacious and had everything we needed. There is a nice restaurant attached to the Hotel drinks are expensive but the food is reasonable, not the quickest service but if you are not in a rush it's fine. The bath could do with updating and a plug in the sink didn't fit well (put a flannel round plug fitted ok) Having a lot of work done to the front which will be nice when finished."

TV in the room was slow and difficult to change channels. The temperature control in the shower was broken and set on hot. Just about manageable. "The checking was easy & staff were friendly, The room is up 2 flights of stairs, it is very dated & could do with some tlc. The walls had splatter & marks where something had run down them & the bathroom was dirty in the corner. We couldn't get any hot water from the taps so used the kettle which didn't turn itself off. "Stayed here 2 nights as I was attending nearby Festival. I Called Les the host and he was very accommodating leaving my keys in the safe box. The room was clean and housekeeping came daily. The bed was very Comfortable i had 2 really good night sleep here. Bayside is right next to the beach which was a bonus as it was a warm bank holiday weekend. Definitely recommend a stay here."

"Hotel.com act like a scam. I didn't know that the Ty Nant hotel was only for students. After contacting Hotels.com several times, it was impossible to get the deposit back. Therefore, Hotels.com has miscommunication with Ty Nant hotel and I been lie about the refund. Keep up the good work Hotels.com Anyway, it doesn't matter what's my opinions.
