"Quite poor. The most uncomfortable bed I slept in, had a loose cable on the outside bang on the window all night, plumbing was making really loud noises that kept waking me up. In terms of cleanliness, mould in the bathroom, could see someone else shaved there as there was lots of cut hair on the floor. Overall, if it wasn't for the staff being very polite, it would've been a 1 star"

"I had a lovely stay at the Exeter Inn! Michelle and Martin gave me the warmest welcome, and the whole place felt instantly inviting. I met up with friends from Bampton for dinner, and the Festive Christmas menu was excellent — beautifully cooked and full of flavour. I stayed in the Brook bedroom, which was immaculate and thoughtfully supplied with plenty of toiletries. A genuinely delightful visit and I’d happily return. Thank you !"

"When I came into the hotel and was given my room key, the first thing I noticed was the smell of dampness in the room. The carpet had burned marks all over it and stains and in places was missing carpet and built bar floor. The wallpaper was torn off the walls. The room was filthy dirty had not been cleaned and full of dust and dirt smoked disgusting so did the toilet and shower. There was sick and vomit on the side of the wall dried in there are multiple stains on the roof on the walls of the...

"Really enjoyed our stay here. Staff so friendly and loved the way the building has been kept sympathetic to its past. Coffee shop is great, as is the breakfast."

"The room we stayed in needs a bit of tlc (mainly in the bathroom), however in terms of the size of the room generally it was decent enough and clean (don't think we could have done more than one night) The restaurant has a good variety of food and drinks (dinner / lunch) and the app is useful for ordering. Breakfast was ok at best. Seem to have few staff working and the cooked breakfast was a bit hit and miss. They could probably do with refreshing the continental breakfast bar menu as there...
