"Love having the stream at the back of room. So peaceful and quiet. Away from the busy downtown but just a short trolley ride away. Perfect!"
Edgewater Hotel - Gatlinburg

"Room was mostly clean--we did notice that the carpet didn't appear to be vacuumed well in the room. Carpeting in the hallways was definitely worn and it smelled musty on the 8th floor. Bathroom appeared to be clean for us. We didn't ask for housekeeping during our short stay. Breakfast was just ok. Nothing that looked decent to us, so we elected not to eat there and instead just made coffee in our room. The fireplace in the room did not work. We didn't bother asking the front desk clerk because we decided to go out instead. Location is pretty good. Parking was adequate however we were not aware of the parking fee when booking so that was a surprise when we checked into the hotel. We did receive emails but they went to spam so we didn't see them prior to check in. That should be more clearly noted. We may have selected another location considering that as there are plenty of locations to stay. Hot tub was really hot. Overall the room was fine, but with the flaws noted above. Not sure we would stay here again as we might try somewhere that is a bit newer/updated for our next trip to Gatlinburg."
Wilderness at the Smokies – River Lodge Suites

"Had a trip planned for the kids to enjoy their start of summer. Half their indoor and outdoor waterpark is shut off or inaccessible due to remodel. The staff at the front desk were rude when mentioned the closures they insisted that’s the roof project is plastered all over their website, ( I booked on my phone and the mobile version did not indicate waterpark closures nor did they mention anything when I called the day before about limited waterpark usage) they were offering all Soaky Mountain tickets to people that booked directly through their website. I booked with third party and they said oh well if you booked with us we would help but since you booked with third party there’s nothing we can do. Again, nothing mentioned on their website of that accommodation. There were people vaping in the indoor waterpark area- when mentioned to security, they said someone would come, no one came or said anything. Basically 95% of their staff is new and had a repeated “I’m new here- I don’t know what to do” response to majority of questions. Ended up leaving early and going home and I was mentally taxed from trying to have a good time with my kids. Also I’ve stayed here many times before- it seems like they have gone downhill on the last few years with customer service. Don’t see myself coming back"

"The 11th floor/Club level is where it’s at, folks. The lounge serves food twice a day and free beverages during happy hour and also accommodated me for a mimosa or two in the morning😉. It has fabulous large rooms with nice bathrooms, featuring many shower heads and a jacuzzi tub for two and to me, the included valet is worth it. And if you make a spa reservation, check in early and enjoy it all day. It’s one of the best spas I’ve ever been to in my life and one of the highest rated (and I have become quite the spa snob.) We had the best mini moon there! The staff was so professional and really accommodating to us. This is more than made up for the first trip we had there where they canceled our spa reso last min."
Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort & Water Park

"It was amazing!! The waterpark was closed but we didn’t really care the resort as so much fun!! We went to the pool a lot since it was still open so that helped. They also had some free things set up for us since the waterpark was closed so that was nice too. My kids and I give it a 10/10!! We will definitely be trying it again sometime soon 😁"

"Traveling for a conference. Hotel was very comfortable, very clean, breakfast staff was amazing and there was ample parking that was well lit. Felt very safe and lots of nearby attractions. Walkable to convention center as well. I travel often for business and this is one of the best hotels stays I have ever had!!"
