"We had a wonderful stay at the Anthracite while in town for a wedding. From check in to check out all was smooth. The accommodations were well maintained and the location was convenient to both our Honesdale wedding and meeting up with family in Hawley. The breakfast was well executed with plenty of options. Coffee was served fresh by a waitstaff. If ever we're passing through, we'll be back."

Our room had a slightly odd smell during our 4 night stay - maybe a pet had stayed directly before us? Beds were comfortable, pillows very soft but the bedding felt a bit cheap. We had room cleaned once during our stay and was only so-so, the pullout bed wasn't made, sheets were left all bunched up. Overall would stay again when in the area,...

"The breakfast was the best part of the stay. The food was good and the staff kept the area clean. They were helpful and very personable. The building looks to be fairly new but was in terrible condition. The shower was especially bad. Mold in the caulking and grout. And the shower was gross. We couldn’t wait to get home and take another shower. The bed was fairly comfortable and the linen appeared clean but the HVAC unit made so much noise we had to shut it off to sleep. It was 41 degrees...

"The only thing I like was the staff everyone was nice. The game room was beautiful but our hotel room the shower was disgusting and the hot tub had black stuff flying out of there. I will not ever go back there because the shower is important and the shower was so dirty. It’s looking very rundown. They need to clean the hot tub really bad."
