La Troje de Adobe about a 2 block walk from the center of town and that makes it quieter than the downtown hotels esp at night. The owner, Memo, who speaks good English, is a great host who will help you in every way that he can and can arrange local tours. The only slight downside are his rather unique stairs, which were hard on us seniors.
A very unique property which is wonderfully decorated and has made use of nooks and crannies. Lots of thought given to the comfort of the guest. And very close to all the action for shopping and dining in a very small town.
Guillermo was a wonderful host, very glad to answer questions (His English is very good.). In excellent central location. Note - hot water and heat may be intermittent. (31 last night.) great affordable, authentic place!!!!!!
Attention was great. It is a small cozy place, clean and with a a great look and feel. Very close to the train tracks and downtown creel. Hoping to return soon.
I really enjoyed this stay, the property is what I expected. Small & quiet property, short walk to restaurants. We stayed on cold nights but the room had a nice heater and kept us warm. The Owner was very polite and helpful. My cell phone did not work in that area and he was kind and allowed me to use his phone.
Great Hotel!
Keep in mind that there's a part of the hotel that is on the back. It's not connected to the lobby and you need to go around the building. That's where our rooms were located. For my group, it was great because we didn't have to go up the small uneven wooden stairs. Don't get me wrong, the wooden stairs are amazing, but not elderly friendly. Since we got the rooms on the back, it worked out perfect for my group. Also, Memo contacted me with Nacho, our tourist guide. Amazing service. Definitely coming back and recommending this hotel.
Wonderful hotel. Central location. Classic Mexican room which is what we look for when coming to Mexico. It was also quiet and comfortable. True classic architecture worth staying at.
Super clean hotel and room. Excellent location, walking distance to the center of town, with ready access to shops, restaurants and cafes.
Staying in January, expect the room temperature to be cool at times. Heat is provided by a wall mounted gas heater in the room, available from the evening until midnight, but not in the morning, so the room may be a bit chilly when you first wake up.
When I checked in, I was informed that only cash or bank transfer (Mexican bank) were accepted, because the credit card machine was unserviceable. Fortunately I had sufficient cash on hand, but other guests may not, depending upon length of stay. The hotel should advise guests of this payment issue in advance of their stay, in my opinion.

The property shuts off the heat at midnight. You will freeze your ass off. No hot water in the am. No breakfast. No Internet and the TV doesnt work
Hotel pequeño con bonitos detalles que hacen una experiencia muy agradable. Súper bien ubicado para conocer Creel y para llegar o salir del pueblo en autobús o tren, caminando de ambas opciones.
