The Lodge at Bodega Bay

"Bodega Bay Lodge is a beautiful, well-maintained property and a wonderful place for a relaxing getaway. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the staff was helpful and welcoming. The one downside was the noticeable smell of cigar smoke when we entered our room. The staff offered to move us, but we chose to stay because everything else about the room was perfect. Housekeeping brought us an air freshener spray, which helped briefly, but the smell seemed embedded in the carpet and drapes and never fully went away. We really enjoyed the property and appreciated the staff’s efforts to help."

"What a beautiful experience we had here! We stayed in a room that had a dual aspect view of the town square...it was really lovely. Very clean, modern room with the charm of a gorgeous old building. Yummy breakfast in the bright, beautiful lobby."

"Great place for a staycation! Close to many restaurants, shops, and easy access to nearby towns for different activities. Staff were always friendly and helpful. We got lucky and the resort was not too busy so there was plenty of spaces for the pool, no wait at the restaurant, etc. also if you are an early morning person their cafe opens at 6:30 am which was great! There are also plenty of cafes nearby that open early. The not so great: if you are a light sleeper or bothered by noise overall beware it can get noisy. We stayed from Thursday to the weekend and we could hear everything happening at the pool, music from the venue, and other guests in the hallways being a bit loud at night but we didn’t mind as much since it was not all night. We traveled with our toddler and she had a great time and her sleep was not disrupted."

"A comfy bed, the staff were great, although the guy at the desk spent way too much time on the phone with a guest who appeared to just want to chat it up and clearly has never used the internet, but I can't really blame him. The restaurant was way overhyped compared to what it turned out to be. The "restaurant" is literally a bar, a handful of tables, all in the open and all served by the single bartender on duty. Also, only one of the TVs in the restaurant worked. Bartender stated the others didn't have cable. . . .in a Hilton property. We went out to an actual restaurant instead of whatever that was."

"What I liked most about this place were the following: 1)Price was much more reasonable during the month of Sept 2)Very friendly, helpful and professional staff from reception to housekeeping to staff helping to carry our luggage’s up the stairs. 3) beautiful corner rooms that overlook the bodega bay and the hills behind the property. I especially loved seeing the cows and calves up close! 4) nice layout of the clean property 5) although I didn’t go into the pool or hot tub, they were both big. 6) rooms were very spacious and the bathroom was too."
