Celeste at the front desk informed me that the elevator was not working. My room was on the fourth floor. She went out of her way and put me in one of the carriage houses across the street. I have to say it’s one of the nicest hotel rooms I’ve ever stayed in, and Celeste went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. Should I ever be in Santa Rosa again, I will not hesitate to book a room here. Thank you so much….

Perfect location. Easy access to restaurants. Recommend Chevys for Mexican food or Grossman’s right there at the hotel. A Roma Roasters is a great place to grab a little breakfast and a cup of coffee.

The description of our room did not match our expectation of the Carriage House Junior Suite. Our expectation, from the description, was that there would be a comfortable sitting area. In fact, the room has a rusty folding table with one desk chair. On top of that, the curtains do not completely block out light and the bed mattress seems old and lacks support.

Great location, located right near the train station in the downtown area of Santa Rosa. We came from San Francisco for a little weekend home away from home. The price was very good. We stayed in their cottage suites. The room was big, had AC, and natural light. Some things I wasn’t a fan of: the curtains felt a little short. There wasn’t enough body wash, and hair care, and there wasn’t any way to cover the big window (that was high above) that offered natural light. That’s really just nitpicking though.

Perfect location. Thought it might be noisy but it was very quiet. Never heard a train. The historic king room was big and comfortable. The shower could have been stronger, not a big deal. No blackout curtains, so the light came in in the morning. Also not a big deal. Comfortable bed. Easy walk to restaurants. Love the history of the place.

Hotel La Rosa is actually a great hotel, especially if you stay in the renovated building next door. I was in Santa Rosa to run a race, and the location was perfect. It was only about 0.4 miles from the start, so I could easily walk there. The only reason I am giving it three stars is the noise. There was quite a bit of street noise, and the AC ran nonstop and was very loud. Unfortunately, I could not sleep. Everything else about the hotel was great, but getting a good night’s sleep was important, especially before a race.

Good basic room. No refrigerator if that is an issue. Street noise a problem a few nights of our 4 night stay. We were on a corner exterior room. Elevator was out but helpful staff helped carry our luggage up the stairs. Good location in historic Santa Rosa. Close to shops and restaurants. Would stay there again.
