Hótel Borgarnes

8/10 Good
"The Hotel Borgarnes makes an excellent base for exploring the Snaefellsnes Peninsula while staying in driving distance of Keflavik Airport. We had a spacious apartment with three beds, kitchen facilities, and a private bathroom for our last two nights in Iceland after a 10-day journey around the Ring Road. A good breakfast buffet was included. We found this to be very good value for Iceland, where hotel, bed-and-breakfast, and restaurant prices are often exorbitant. The staff provided pleasant service, and there was free parking. The tap water smelled strongly of sulfur, but the region is volcanic, so we did not fault the hotel for that."
