"For wanting to see the lava tube and the falls, this location was perfect for us. It all worked out well from a comfy bed to a nice breakfast. Dinner was also excellent. "Really, things were pretty good. We liked the location and I enjoyed my run on the horse trail. "Room with a view" would have been pretty accurate on the other side of the building. Our view was of farm equipment and a bus. That wasn't a huge problem really. The host asks that windows and doors stay closed (to keep out insects) and that temperature on thermostat not be adjusted. However, we were so utterly uncomfortable because it was soooo hot in the room. Sorry, but we had to break the rules...

"We stayed in the family room and it had a really lovely view. The kitchen was well stocked and all was clean. What we didn't like was the over-the-top decor: Buddhas and other religious icons everywhere, angels, Christmas lights, elephants, etc. It was not a neutral setting and if we would have known what a busy atmosphere this was, we would most likely have chosen somewhere else to stay. Also the hallway smelled like incense, likely from the coffee shop below where the decor continued."

"Wow, this place gives you the warm welcoming feeling just like you are at home with its very special and beautiful decoration. The owner gave lots of love to te interior design. She owns the coffee shop down stair that has a little of everything. The town shopping center is just 5 minutes drive. To park in front of the door you need to drive up a stiff hill. If you are not comfortable there is a parking on the street too. I love the patio and in unit washer dryer. Very nice owner."

"The house was amazing, the check-in experience was awful. The house is loosely connected to the hotel which manages the check in, but the house is actually family run. The front desk agent was friendly, but had us sit for almost an hour without an update. The restaurant refused to book us stating we weren't part of the hotel, despite the fact that the front desk disagreed. The house made up for it."
