Very convenient place to stay. Reminded me of a rooming house...older property with some charm but for most people who are looking for a modern facility, this is not it. If the property's price is a primary factor, go for it. Everything was in working order and was clean and neat. Cute light breakfast left at reception. Heat during the early evening but not overnight and you can't control heat in room. Ask about air conditioning...I didn't see it. Again, you get a room, comfortable bed, bathroom and everything is clean. But not for me. Sorry.

We had a late check-in, well after the staff had left, but the thoroughness with which they anticipated my needs was above and beyond. Alternative ways to get the keys, instructions on how to use the property, and the continental breakfast were furnished. The room was clean and beautiful, and the beds were extremely comfortable.

It was overall ok, however there were few issues. The first day the cleaning staff left our room open, I assume they forgot, but our belongings were left exposed, not nice. The second day they didn’t make up the room, maybe we woke up too late and the cleaning staff had already left (we left the room around 10:45), they changed the towels though. The mattresses were old and deformed, quite uncomfortable.

In desperate need of a glow up

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to stay in a dusty old doll house? Here's your chance. Hotel Beacon Inn 1750 is a conundrum. The location is great, right on the T, Green Line, with easy access to the medical district, Fenway, and nice restaurants/cafés within walking distance. The price is a good value for Brookline. The front desk attendant was friendly. The problem is this old girl has seen better days. Check in is mashed up with the 'breakfast' service area, just inside the front door. The rooms are in rough shape, and the bathroom was in bad shape. The brand new television hung on the wall didn't work. No night tables by the bed and only two outlets in the room. The window air conditioner was taped into the window. Hotel Beacon Inn 1750 needs a glow up in the worst way but has a few good attributes most specifically location and walkability.

Not very clean and had mosquitos and flies in my room. Outer door to fire escape would not lock and the tv was very confusing?

Where to begin……I flew to Boston with my daughter to get her settled into a place nearby the hotel as she was attending BU in the fall. I was there for 6 days total and the first few days wasn’t bad until finding out a few items purchased at the BU campus store were stolen!! I told a young man named James what happened and he was so nonchalant about the matter stating he didn’t think it could be his housekeeper! The male housekeeper was the only person in our room!! Who else could it be other than staff at that point. I received no apologies, just said he would relay this to the manager. I asked him for a managers name and he refused to give me this info!! What kind of Mickey Mouse running hotel is this?! Words cannot express my anger and frustration. I had to call Expedia and take it up with them instead. I regret ever staying at that ridiculous hotel. I would not recommend this place to anyone especially if you don’t want your belongings missing!!

There is nothing we would recommend about this property. The room was dirty. Crumbs on the mantle and table, the bathroom had “splatter” all over the sink and medicine cabinet along with balls of hair on the floor and in the mats. The bathtub still had dirt from the previous user on the bottom of it as well as hair coming out of the drain. The linens all had a yellow stain or two on them. The air conditioner would only do one temperature. Parking is quite sketchy. We were very disappointed.

We were there literally ten hours, but it was a great place to stay. Our train was stuck on the track for hours, so we missed out on our evening in Boston before a dr appt. We will be coming back to Boston, and will definitely stay here again. It is clean and comfortable, and access to transportation is great. It is a great place to stay and a great value too.
