The large indoor plants in the lounge gave a jungle effect and it was nice to be able to open the double doors to the Juliet balcony to look over the rooftops of the 5th arrondissement, especially at dawn and sunset. The bathroom was wide open to the room which required showering in full view of each other. There was no way to turn on the bathroom light in the middle of the night without illuminating the entire room and waking up your partner, and the air conditioning was very cold with no way to control it directly.
