"Property is adjacent to the beach area, we had a great view of the esplanade from our room. The check-in was great, probably the friendliest one on our 20 day trip around Europe. Room was run of the mill, bathroom could do with some modernisation together with some luxurious towels instead of the heavily used ones provided."

"Absolute treasure.
Went for a retreat to get some work done. It could not have been more perfect.
Staff super respectful and approachable.
Room was spacious, clean and sound proof.
Breakfast was excellent....loved the banana and peanut smoothie. what a combo.
And after a hard day's work, it was relaxing in the sauna/steam room& jaccuzzi.
Planning on bringing a team of people for group bonding sessions.....with the vast green lands and lots of conference rooms and break out open...

"Ockenden manor was beautiful and staff very accommodating and friendly. We were also upgraded at check in which was a nice surprise. The room was beautifully designed, and bathroom and bedding were clean, although we did find two pieces of rubbish left behind by a previous guest in the room. Hotel guests can access the spa at no additional cost from 2pm on day of check in to 2pm on day of check out and the spa facilities were beautiful. Good vegan and veggie options at breakfast. "Extremely dog friendly, loved that the dog friendly rooms opened onto the courtyard garden (enclosed). The walks are beautiful/ stunning. Dogs welcome in the restaurants. Highly recommend."

"Old hotel, badly maintained with smelly rooms. The water coming out the bathroom tap had a horrible sewage smell, so my family and I used mineral water to brush the teeth and to wash the face.
There were two lifts but only one working during the whole weekend, and the guests had to share it with the staff transporting food or cleaning supplies.
It was a mess.
I will not return to this hotel."
