Breakheart Reservation

Swimming, of both dog and human varieties, is allowed in Breakheart's lakes. During summer, the beach has a life guard and dogs have to stay away from that area.

There are loads of dirt paths in Breakheart that cross cross everywhere. One of them even follows along the banks of the river and the spring blossoms are gorgeous.

Breakheart is a great place for a run. Paved paths from a figure eight through the reservation, so you would have a tough time getting lost and you can get about three miles in a single loop. Some hills too!
