"Convenient accommodation and parking to attend the opera at Glyndebourne. Room comfortable, but difficult to open the windows, and there appeared to be damp in the bathroom floor below the cistern. "Registration was cursory. Certainly not rude, just “fill in your details and here’s your key.” No offer of assistance for two seniors to carry suitcases up narrow stairs. No further information offered. Room was adequate. Shower is traditional British style - in a very high narrow tub, very dangerous for seniors in my opinion. Notice in room that no outside food allowed, and may result in an additional charge. Overall good value for money, but more of a two star than a three star hotel. "

"We stayed here for a wedding in Cuckfields and this hotel was in a very good location for this. The hotel itself is very nice, being a lovely old building. The room was a bit small for two people and the bathroom did feel a bit run down/shabby. Also - while I appreciate it was a bit of an unprecedented situation, we were there in one of the heatwaves this summer and really struggled with the heat.
