We really appreciated the friendly and helpful staff. Thanks so much for looking after us this weekend.
It was absolutely excellent. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Check out and check in was super easy. We got our own entrance and exit which was a nice addition. I would absolutely stay here again

Comfortable room, clean bathroom if your in the front of the building be warned the beautiful little church opposite chimes four times an hour every hour 24 hours a day !
It suited my needs well, everything i needed for a one night stay. It was a little cold in the evening and i couldnt control the heating, but it came on in the morning. No toiletries on offer, however for the price i paid it was bery good value

The hotel was welcoming, clean and more than adequate for our short stay.
Used as a quick one night stay for going to a comedy gig in Brighton. Well worth the money. Staff lovely and room clean. Bathroom was not within our room but we had an assigned bathroom further round the corridor.
Very convenient location. Simple but clean and comfortable accommodation. Lovely village.

The bed was comfy. The bathroom wasn't very clean and the cupboard had fly poo in it. There was a hole in the box around the toilet. There was a container behind the toilet catching a leek

Not the best of places I've stayed, but it was fit for purpose (a quick nights sleep before heading off on the southdowns way)
Ideally situated for an overnight stay if walking the South Downs Way. Excellent Sunday lunch - we could understand why it was popular! The Landlord was very helpful in providing the best route to re join the South Downs Way the following morning. Unfortunately the nearby cafes were not open for breakfast on Monday - The Green Welly doesn't open and The Nutmeg doesn't open on Bank holidays! We resorted to buying two baguettes from The White Lion and having them for breakfast and lunch!
Room was clean but no wardrobe and bathroom room was along corridor also church clock chiming all night did not help next time will have a room at rear of house away from road noise and the clock.
Other wise all good for convenience and a good bar.
The pub itself was good and the food was very good too. Staff friendly. Accommodation not so good. Could do with a good clean up and overhaul to bring up to a reasonable standard.
When we arrived the roads were busy but got a parking space so was good as there is free parking just walking distance from The Whitehorse inn, the rooms were clean but needed a bit of TLC in my opinion other than that it was comfortable and a beautiful place to stay, the owner was awesome and the staff were great, with a friendly atmosphere.. 😊

Ask for the wifi code before the team leave!!
Parked directly outside. Room fine. Accommodation could not find booking but did then locate it. Team left immediately after checking in.There was no wifi login provided, no mobile signal and no telephone signal at the location. Drove 2 miles up the road to get signal, called and emailed for the wifi code - no answer. Was left as sole occupant on the premises with no way to contact anyone without driving offsite.
Unfortunately the room we had booked had not been cleaned since the previous guests had left, so we arrived to an unmade and dirty room.
The member of staff who was helping us was quite helpful and did get the room cleaned for us but it was done very quickly.
The room was small but neat, but it had a very bad smell of damp probably because there is no extractor fan in the small bathroom area of the room.
This really needs to be rectified as it is not good for guests to be breathing in dampness.
Very pretty village it is in and very nice inside. Would suggest more staff are required here as busy with drinks, food and rooms. It would really benefit this place if they offered breakfast to guests in the morning at a reasonable rate as I’m sure it would be appreciated especially on weekends!
Parking for about two cars so street parking is needed here and on very narrow country roads.
Nice place for a one night stay. Would have liked to try the food there but very busy and could not wait as had a prior engagement to get to.

Booked this accommodation for a 3 night stay, combining a work trip with a weekend in the area. The photos of the accommodation on the website are a little misleading, and the room I booked was advertised as a large room. It was actually very small with no desk / seating space and very limited space to hang clothing. On first glance it was quite clean, however there was a stain on the carpet and some damp / mould in the bathroom. The facilities were very basic in the room. The booking was confirmed as including breakfast. The pub stopped serving breakfast about 2 years ago.
The pub itself was nice, we had a meal there one evening and the food was good. The bar staff were friendly. There was no servicing of the room during the stay. I did actually have to buy toilet roll.
The bed was comfortable, and the noise complained about in other reviews was not a concern for us.
The accommodation was functional. I don’t think I would book again, but do want to single out for praise the friendly bar staff.
I was well looked after by the staff, who went out of their way to be helpful and booked a very reliable taxi service on my behalf. Lovely village and a good set of church bells! Would stay again.
Everything was very clean and lovely and the bed was very comfortable did have a good nights sleep.,plus good choice of food but they didn't serve breakfast..no worries there's a couple of very good café that do.
The room was small, but comfortable and clean, the bathroom was perfectly adequate. The staff were inobtrusive and very accommodating and the location was peaceful. Parking wasn't a problem and I would love to stay here again.
