"We loved this little pub that was older than our country! The room was wonderful and spacious. We had dinner there which was yummy, especially the creme brûlée - it was better than the one I had in Harrods! The staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again. It is opposite the church where Midsomer Murders is filmed. "

"The room was really dark and I didn't like the open plan layout with the toilet in the bedroom (no privacy). The room décor was tired and the jacuzzi didn't work. Only 5 hangers which the staff quickly remedied. Lovely long decking area but it hadn't been cleaned and had no decking furniture so you couldn't sit outside. "Lovely stay at a genuine village pub, not a restaurant with rooms or a hotel with a bar, this is the real thing. Beautifully furnished rooms, amazing staff and service and fantastic atmosphere, and Blewbury is beautiful. The Ukrainian menu has to be tried! We loved also that the dog was as welcome as we were."

"We stayed 2 nights in a suite. The room was delightful and we slept very well. Dinner both nights was outstanding and we wished we could have stayed longer to try out more of the menu ! Breakfast was freshly cooked each morning and also delicious. Would definitely return. "

"The room was clean and a good size but the carpet needed renewing as it was in bad condition.The bed linen and towels were excellent and the twin beds were comfortable. Our room and our friends room were "shabby".Paint work etc. I complained about the fact that the bath water went cold before I had run very much.There was no soap to use in the bath.Only soap available was fixed to the shower wall and by the washbasin. I was woken up at 5.35am on the morning we were leaving with a text message...

"This place was a dump. It smelled if sewage and the owner/manager was rude and arrogant. He sent an invoice for GBP20 for an early check-in, we were there an hour early, he gave us the key and never said a thing; good luck with that !!!. The menu was pathetic. We didn't eat there at all. Horrible experience. The room was very clean as was the bathroom, but the sewage smell was unbearable. Never again, whoever owns this place needs a new manager, if the manager is the owner this place can't...

"Absolutely love this place. Second stay here and the staff is super friendly and accommodating. Emily at front desk goes over and beyond to help with anything we ask. Rooms are clean, bed sleeps great, AC works great, rare find worth staying. Close to the bus stop for travel into the city. Spacious parking. Only regret is we didn’t stay longer. "
