My first thoughts this morning on looking out from the battlements at Kirk Towers were that the peasants were revolting again.

Don't be deceived by the blue sky - it only showed briefly! These cherry blossom shots were taken with my 500 mirror lens. I would normally use a macro lens for these but sometimes its fun to shoot using the 'wrong' lens!

This shot was taken through my conservatory windows so its not as crisp as it could be. I wondered if the jays would be around much this year as there has been a bumper acorn crop. This jay was stuffing itself on peanuts - I have modified the feeder with a few larger holes which enables the jays to get at the nuts - without these holes they are not interested.

The rooms were clean and tidy. The staff were polite, friendly and helpful. I would definitely visit this hotel again.

Really enjoyed my stay here, lovely staff, great food and cocktails and a great location, Shame the sea view I paid extra for was mainly blocked by a gazebo, but I think it's just there for Christmas. I would definitely stay here again!
