Broadwayat the Beach is a sprawling, family-friendly entertainment center set aroundLake Broadway.

Thecomplex attracts millions of visitors each year, including both locals andtourists. Constructed in 1996, it was originally planned as a center builtaround movie theaters. Although there are two cinemas on site, one of which isan IMAX Theater, Broadway at the Beach has expanded to incorporate a wide rangeof amenities and attractions.

The complex is aperfect outing for rainy days, as many of the attractions are indoors. There’sa lot of ground to cover, so wear comfortable shoes and allow plenty of time toexplore the many activities.

Explore the differentareas, such as Heroes Harbor and Caribbean Village. If you’re visiting withkids, check out Ripley's Aquarium. MagiQuest is also great family fun, offeringa fantasyland with a live action role-playing game.

Many of the areasfeature a mix of places to shop, eat and play. Browse the array of independentstores throughout these areas and you’re sure to find travel souvenirs andunusual holiday gifts. Celebrity Square is the center for nightlife andentertainment and stays lively until late.

Enjoy coffee, candyor ice cream from the many vendors or cafés around the complex. There are plentyof great restaurant dining options too, including Hard Rock Café and PlanetHollywood.Entryto Boardwalk on the Beach is free, with ticket prices varying for individualattractions. The complex is just a short drive east from downtown Myrtle Beachand there is free parking in a large lot. The Myrtle Beach Connector bus stopsat the Broadway at the Beach visitor center as well as other downtownattractions.
