"Plenty of parking. All facilities were available (pool, spa golf etc) at an extra cost but I didn't use. Room looked out on to a brick wall and outdoor plumbing, but I assume this is because I didn't book directly with the hotel. Grounds were immaculate but not visible from our room. Didn't have breakfast so cannot comment but it smelled good!"

"Nothing at all wrong with the hotel. Clean, nice views of garden, huge bed. It was the noise of the other guests that kept me awake after deciding that 11:30 at night was the best time to have a loud pointless conversation on the landing. Hotel was fine and i had no issues with it. Staff are very helpful and polite. Would stay with them again if i have to."

"Beautiful place but our mattress was so hard, I lost sleep! There was a point where I considered sleeping on the floor, as I thought it might be more comfortable, and my partner developed back and hip pain.
The staff was lovely, everyone was so friendly and the grounds were absolutely beautiful. About a 20 minute walk from city centre, the location was also great! Apart from the mattress, I would definitely recommend to stay here. "

"We stayed in the Bootham suite, the room was light and airy and had a lovely small balcony to enjoy the sunshine. The four poster bed was very comfy and there was a small seating area to relax in. Breakfast was very good, everything is a la carte and the staff were very attentive. The hotel is in a great location, very easy walking distance into York but also very quiet and peaceful. The Pantry is a really nice touch but it was a shame that there wasn't a fridge in the room to keep drinks cool....
