"Booked a double room but got a room with 3 single beds. Not the end of the world but not what I booked. Beds were uncomfortable. Mattress was really thin, when you sat on it you were basically sat on the bed base and when you laid on the bed you could feel the springs in your back and side. The walls were wafer thin, you can hear the tap running and toilet etc from the room next door. Also the water in the bathroom made a right racket when you ran the tap, shower or flushed the toilet. If using the...

"A lovely hotel which we will use again when visiting the Lake District. The staff are super friendly and helpful, especially Michael, who was always ready with recommendations and advice. The room itself was very clean and comfortable, with a comfortable supportive bed for a great nights sleep after a days walking. Breakfast time was spectacular even before you sat down, with magical views from the breakfast room over to the misty hills in the distance. The breakfasts themselves were equally...
