"I would not recommend staying at Kasa Hillsboro Beach. The property was dirty and poorly maintained throughout our stay. There was visible mold covering parts of the ceilings, trash scattered around the cabanas, and even dog feces left on the balcony outside of the gym. Parts of the property are literally falling apart — there was an area of collapsed ground that had simply been roped off instead of properly repaired.
The room layout was also incredibly uncomfortable and lacked privacy. The only window directly overlooked another guest’s balcony and windows, making the space feel claustrophobic and invasive for everyone involved.
Customer service was disappointing from start to finish. Staff were difficult to find, even during posted staffed hours, and management was dismissive of our concerns until photo evidence was provided. The front desk staff and property manager were also unfriendly in even basic interactions.
For a property charging resort fees, the amenities and service were unacceptable. Nearly everything came with an additional charge — housekeeping, parking, late checkout, etc. — yet the overall experience was below the standard of even an average 3-star hotel. The beach setup was also extremely limited, with only a handful of umbrellas/chairs available for guests. The beach area itself was heavily eroded and covered with debris.
Overall, this property is overpriced, poorly maintained, and lacking the level of hospitality it advertises."
