"While this is a historical venue I was disappointed with several things that I felt should have been much better for the price. We had a porch which was absolutely filthy with spiders, cobwebs, and dead bugs. They did send someone quickly to take care of this however it helped a little but there was still spiders and webs in the porch railings. The bathroom was small and we had an issue with the hot water not being hot part of one day. Not sure I'd recommend this to anyone for the price."

"This newly renovated hotel captured the essence of the original structure, while providing chic accommodations. We had drinks at the bar and enjoyed talking to the bartender Michael, who told us more about local history. If you are staying in the area, this is the only place to stay."
