I recently stayed at a boat hotel in Budapest, and while the experience had its positives, some aspects need attention.
The service was commendable; the staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. Breakfast was a highlight—complete and freshly prepared, making for a delightful start to the day. The area surrounding the hotel felt safe, and the views of the Hungarian Parliament from the hotel were simply gorgeous.
However, the hotel itself requires significant updates. The carpets throughout the property appear worn and would benefit from replacement. Regarding my room, I found the decor to be outdated, particularly the headboard and wallpaper, which show signs of wear. The bathroom was functional but lacked modern amenities, especially concerning the shower system. After showering, the bathroom floor remained wet, and there was no squeegee available to help dry it. This made it inconvenient to use the bathroom at night, prompting the need to shower in the morning instead.
Overall, while I appreciated the hospitality and enjoyed the breakfast, the hotel would greatly improve with some renovations and upgrades to enhance guest comfort.
