"The front desk staff when we checked in was so helpful and kind. The outside of the hotel was not updated but a wonderful perk is the vintage rose garden outside of the hotel. Absoulutely beautiful varieties of roses from so long ago. They were breath taking. I would return just to view and smell the roses again. Thank you Super 8!"

"The breakfast buffet was great, and we appreciated the daily variety. The staff was also courteous and even offered us a cookie upon our arrival. The room, however, was pretty awful. It smelled really funky and there’s no way we’d walk barefoot on the carpet. The chair and ottoman were, literally, filthy. We put our suitcases up on the table and the desk. After our arrival, I read reviews that said someone had found bedbugs, and while we didn’t see any, and I think we escaped without any, it...

"Very nice, clean room-staff was most helpful in filling empty bathroom toiletries and providing extra linens. Breakfast had a wide variety of items and were all fresh and hot. Would stay there again if the opportunity should arise."

"I reserved a Basic Room, 2 Queen Beds for 2 nights, 34 days in advance. I paid $10 per night for the extra Queen bed, as I am a FEMALE travelling with a MALE first cousin. When we checked in, there was NO ONE in the office and we were told that the door was open and our key was in the room. We went in and discovered only ONE bed. So we called the number on the office door, and were told that the room with one bed is all they had available. If we wanted to wait until someone could come from...

"Great hotel, charming as can be in the heart of downtown Mayville. Walkable to coffee shop, restaurants and bars. Parking is limited. I was happy I brought an eye mask as the rooms do not get as dark as I am used to. Pay attention to late arrival policies and procedures as the desk is not manned 24hours."

"The room smelled like black mold. It didn’t look like or smell like the linen had been changed in months. We couldn’t sleep the 1st night. We went to Walmart to get Fabreze to spray down the bed, bedding, and room in general. When we asked for a clean blanket, we were told blankets weren’t available. We will never stay there again, nor at any Days Inn."
