"Amazing- room was fantastic with a nice little patio in the back over overseeing the ocean. Could not be nicer. Place to take walks in both directions. Room was very clean. Maria greeted us upon our arrival and was fantastic throughout our visit. Breakfast was amazing. Never had better scrambled eggs in my life. The manager also made two dinner reservations for us at very nice restaurants. Private parking, gated and safe.

"A little slice of paradise! The old converted farmhouse is beautiful and charming. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and the room huge by any standard especially for Europe. Beautiful pool and fruit and flower trees everywhere! Two very sweet but large dogs, so keep that in mind if tou are afraid of dogs. My eight-year-old and four-year-old loved them.
You need a car here as everything is a 5 minute drive away including the train.

"The Águamel is a quaint and unique place to stay while in Sintra, hidden away from the main tourist noise. At least that was how it was for us when we stayed in February. Of course, any stay is only as good as the other guests who share the hotel with you.
The breakfast was lovely, albeit a tad later (served at 9) than we would prefer. The selection of food was plentiful and very yummy.
